Retail Boutique for Benjamin Barker
Fine gentlemen’s clothiers, Benjamin Barker, commissioned us to design a retail experience that reflected the quality and ethos of the brand. Extrapolating the values of craftsmanship and the intricacy of handmade goods, the space expresses itself as a warm, intimate canvas for the brand’s tailored products.
A gentle rhythm is found through the repetition of linear forms and timber elements, creating visual hierarchy and framing within the space. The carpentry and furniture elements communicate a simplicity and utilitarian aesthetic that embraces everyday use and remains timeless in language, form, and materiality. The intimate volume is designed to encompass the guest in a deep, moody, and textured spatial experience, reminiscent of putting on one’s favourite garment.
