Arkitube

Arkitube is a sleek, modular container designed to transport large format paper. The idea was originally conceived as a response to the clunky, bulky, plastic tubes or large folios that have been the norm for decades.

The highly-refined assembly is crafted out of 6061 aircraft-grade aluminium extrusions that are cut to size, machined, and anodized to provide three segments that make up a modular system, allowing the user to adjust the tube length. Fine-tooth threads are spun onto the ends of each segment to provide a water-resistant and sturdy connection, and finely-milled aluminium caps are press-fitted on to seal the open ends. The storage container is made up of three segments: the body, the extension tube, and the lid. With the extension tube, it can accommodate all paper sizes up to A1 size. For hands-free transportation, a finely-threaded button system allows arkitube to be comfortably carried with a leather shoulder strap. The buttons are designed to be tightened with a coin and are sealed with rubber o-rings for waterproofing.
